The Collection is a venue space with two separate gathering areas: their Derailed Bar and Terrace Lounge are each unique spaces able to accommodate any type of event. The Derailed Bar space is just over 1300 square feet in size and can accommodate a baby shower guest list between 20 and 40 people. Their Terrace is just over 4500 square feet and can seat as many as 280 guests for more extravagant baby showers.

Formento’s is an authentic Italian restaurant with numerous event spaces available for private events. Three sections in this 2000 square foot venue are separated by half walls to help improve the flow of events, and in total, this space can accommodate 50 seated guests. Woodwind is a 12,000 square foot event space located on the 18th floor of the Lavin Family Pavilion. Their Birch Rooftop Garden is a gorgeous outdoor space with a capacity 70 guests, and their smallest indoor space, The Annex, also has a capacity of 70 guests. If you are having a more extravagant baby shower, they have additional rooms with seating capacities up to 250 or 350. The spaces can also be combined as you see fit.

Glessner House is home to four unique event spaces that are each perfect for a small party like a baby shower. The Conservatory seats 20-40, The Dining Room seats 18, The Coach House can accommodate 70-125, and The Courtyard has space for 150-200 guests. Glessner House is a historic landmark that has been standing since 1887. Celeste is an incredibly unique venue in Chicago. They own three floors of a historic Louis Sullivan building. Their Rooftop Garden sits on the fourth floor of the building and is a gorgeous space with a capacity of 48-90 guests depending on your layout. Their second floor Deco Room and first floor space The Pub seat 40-75 and 70-125 guests respectively.
Before its conversion into a bar, restaurant, and event space, the building that houses Celeste was a glass factory. 1. Assemblea
Assemblea is a 4500 square foot event space located in West Town. An open floor plan on the first floor provides enough space for 100 guests and the opportunity to design an event flow that works for you as an individual. The second floor mezzanine is also included with your booking, and there is even a patio that can extend the celebration into the outdoor air.
The Assemblea building was constructed in the 19th century. It began as a church in 1893 and then evolved to function as a warehouse for a number of companies before being converted into an event space by its current owners. While it has been renovated and upgraded in a number of ways, you’ll find many elements reminiscent of that time period. It is the ideal blend of history and modernity.
Assemblea does not provide any on-site catering for events, so you will need to work with an outside vendor to have your food and drink needs taken care of. There is a prep kitchen on site for your caterer to make use of, and you don’t have to work off of a preferred vendors list with this venue.
Assemblea is designed for events of all kinds: sound systems and video projectors, and on-site prep kitchen, lounge furniture, and an open floor plan create an amazing space for every party.
